Being an avid YA fantasy reader, I have quite a few favorite authors. The list goes as follows:
•Sarah J. Maas
•J.K. Rowling
•Tahereh Mafi
•Victoria Aveyard
•Leigh Bardugo

I have fallen in love with all of these authors characters and their writing styles are amazing.

It may appear biased but my favorite author would be Rick Riordan.
I all loved his YA books and read all of his series (Percy Jackson, Kane Chronicles, Magnus Chase and Apollo). I'm just about to try the Adult books to see a different approach from him.
I also adored J.K. Rowling of her Harry Potter Series. I even reread it four times because I couldn't enough of it.

J D Robb
John Grisham
J K Rowling--just started reading her works in the past year

I love Kenneth Copeland, because of his simple way that he presents his writings.

My favourite author is Eric Lustbader. His ability to illustrate with his words is quite intriguing in my opinion. I enjoy watching martial arts movies. Reading his novels is much more entertaining than watching a martial arts movie. His description of the fight scenes bring his novels to life in a way that I don't see very often from other authors. I am thrilled that he continues to write about Robert Ludlum's character Jason Bourne. Don't think anyone could have done a better job. He is a master at what he does.

I've been an avid reader for 60 years now. It's impossible to narrow it down to one favorite. James Mitchener, Herman Wouk, Stephen King, Anne Tyler, John Irving, and Joyce Carol Oates are at the top of the list. Given another 5 minutes to think about it, though, that list would surely change.

Quite a long list and I admit that I don't know half of it. I would like to read some of their works someday.
I just checked which genre I prefer.

One of my favorites is JD Robb. I especially like the "In Death" series. Great dialogue and
characters you get to know and like. :techie-studyinggray:

So many I don’t know where to start. But my go to author has to be Dean Koontz - I get transported in to his world on the first page and then lose hours only to get sad when I finish one of his books 🙃 In turn does that make me a tad sad?! Lol! 😳😋

My favorite author is R.L. Stine and dr seuss Im really into the old school books, But it seems to me that books bring more detail than the movies Which can educate us in some cases. therefore Books can also help on words and vocabulary which can be a very good thing. but there are also some other authors out there that write about there childhood, Moby Dick is also one of favorites.

My favorite author, by far, is Neil Gaiman. American Gods has been my favorite book for years (prior to reading that, my favorite book was constantly changing) and I don't see that changing anytime soon!
