Arundhati Roy from India. She is a celebrated author in India, many have read her on international scenes as well, but not well-known enough I feel.

The first author that comes to mind is Liliana Bodoc. I read her Saga of the Borderlands when I was younger and I absolutely loved it. At that time in my life, HP was king, and suddenly Bodoc comes through with her fantastic reimagining of the invasion of the Americas, it blew my mind. I absolutely recommend it and wish it was more well known.

I don't know if he's famous enough but i would say Chetan Bhagat. Its because many of our readers dislike him and i kinda like him i want other readers from different countries to taste his works and give opinions.

I would say Santiago Posteguillo from València, Spain.

He works at the University and he's an specialist in Rome Imperium history, due to that his books are based in its history and are amazing. My favorites, in case someone wants to start with him, is africanus trilogy!
