I appreciate Tolkien. I see him as a great writer, world & character crafter.
I don't often enjoy reading him though - I prefer to see his work made into movies.
At times he writes too dry and slow for my liking.

Tolkien is by far my favorite writer. I can understand why some find his writing too old-fashioned, but I love that style so basically every sentence is poetry to me. I strive to be on Stephen Colbert level of expertise, haha!
