I have had to come back and add the southern vampire mysteries by Charlaine Harris. Otherwise known as True Blood. Whilst there were a lot of them and it got a bit silly towards the end, some of the mysteries were interesting and there was a whole bunch of unique characters.

I love Jack Reacher, the unique hero created by Lee Child. An ex-MP, who mustered out as a major, he now goes where his feet would take him, with just the clothes on his back plus a toothbrush. He doesn't have an address or a driver's license and doesn't own a cellphone. But he has an incredible sense of justice and lots of practical advice on how to fight and win. My hero!

My favorite series that I read recently was the NewsFlesh series by Mira Grant. It is about zombies, which typically is not my type of book. However, this series focuses on the world in the aftermath of the zombie apocalypse and how the characters cope with the new reality and I found it to be a really interesting read. There is also a big twist at the end of the series that will surprise a lot of readers.

I have two favourite series. The first, Harry Potter - no matter how many times I read those books, I am always gripped. My second is the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett. I have never laughed out loud so much reading a book as his. The world has lost a great man.

Hands down The Hunger Games are my favorite. I know they are young adult but these are written with such clarity of thought. The author keeps the story clear and simple. Reminds me of The Giver in her style. I hope a prequel is forth coming. It would give a grander picture of Panem and the 13 Districts.

My favorite series would have to be Harry Potter. The movies don't give the books justice! Too many things are kept out of the movies.

My favorite series is Harry Potter because it was the first series of books that I read. As I got older, the thickness of the books kept increasing which made the stories more enjoyable and intriguing.

Right now I am reading The Bregdan Chronicles by Ginny Dye. It is taken place during the civil war. It talks about runaway slaves and the tunnels at that time. I really enjoy the values the author gives in the book. My second favorite series is the Outlander Series by Diana Gabaldon.
