Same authors or different ones?

I search through a genre that I am in the mood to read until I find something that looks good. Then I'll read everything by that author and then start search again.

I am a new member here and my favourite author is RA Salvadore but I need to find some other reading material and was wondering if anyone knew of someone with the same writing style that I could start reading?

If I find an author I really enjoy I sometimes find myself looking for their books when I can't find anything else to read. However, I do like to try other authors also.

A bit of both really. If I like a new author I will start to read their back catalogue. As soon as I catch up I will then read their more recent releases. So I look for new authors but always try and read everything from authors I have read and enjoyed before. A lot of reading! 3 or 4 a week and I still can't catch up!

I try to read books from different authors to find out writing styles and to expose myself to diversity when picking up books. Although there are times when I love a particular book and I wind up reading all of the books written by the same author.

I do both. I like to read new authors, but I read authors I've already read as well, especially if I really enjoyed them.

I read both. I usually continue on with the ones that I like but I am always open to new ones. That's why I join multiple book clubs.
