No doubt that Nicholas Spark is a very good writer and I admire his books but he cannot be considered as a great writer. But still his books are worth reading.

He is a wonderful writer.
He knows how to use words and make them sound wonderful. Though I only read a book written by him , I can sense all his emotion ,cause a story is written with what he has in mind.

All of his books (I read like nine in high school because my friends were) follow the same formula. They all blend together, and none of them really stand out. He follows the formula because it works; he knows how to get female readers to resonate with the heroine and fall in love with the hero. And there's always a tragedy to tug at your heartstrings. I find it boring but wouldn't call him a bad author by any means, he knows what sells.

I've read a handful of Nicholas Sparks' novels, and while he's a good writer, I wouldn't call him great. He has found a formula that allows him to crank out novels that people want to read, and that's about it. Each novel is basically the same.

I can't bring myself to pick up another book by Nicholas Sparks. The only book he wrote that I liked was A Walk To Remember. His other books are not that great.
