I just meant that death happens to all of us. I meant that if you dream when or how will someone die it will be supernatural, but just dreaming death is not. I'm sorry if I sound rude. It's not my intention, but comparing yourself with mark Twin on the basis of a dreaming something general looks strange to me.

Not yet. Modern science. Don't hit us with those negative thoughts!

I did not know these two facts! Just another fascinating tidbit about a very fascinating man! I lived on a small military installation in Heidelberg, Germany that was named for Mark Twain. Apparently he had spent some time in the lovely old German city.

For the record, dreaming about someone's death can be very disturbing. The night before my husband's grandmother died, I had a dream in which we were attending her funeral. We were living in South Korea when she passed away (she was in Florida) and we didn't see it coming.

Some good quotes from Mark Twain.

There are basically two types of people. People who accomplish things, and people who claim to have accomplished things. The first group is less crowded.

Do the right thing. It will gratify some people and astonish the rest.

Don't go around saying the world owes you a living. The world owes you nothing. It was here first.

Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.

Rssllue, great quotes! Thanks for posting them.

Here's a few more Mark Twain quotes:

A person with a new idea is a crank until the idea succeeds.

Few things are harder to put up with than the annoyance of a good example.

Patriotism is supporting your country all the time, and your government when it deserves it.

He certainly had a lot to say in his lifetime! :D

The secret of getting ahead is getting started.

Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see.

You can't depend on your eyes when your imagination is out of focus.

It is very interesting that Twain wanted to die on the orbit of Haley's comet. I understand why he would want to "go out with a bang," still very interesting.

He truly was a remarkable man. A bit freaky though it is, it is very interesting.

Mark Twin thought death was funny, he said, "I didn't attend the funeral, but I sent a nice letter saying that I approved of it."

Tom Sawyer was one of the first books I felt compelled to read more than once. I read it about 30 yrs ago - it may be time to check it out again.

Anger is an acid that can do more harm to the vessel in which it is stored than to anything on which it is poured.

In the first place, God made idiots. That was for practice. Then he made school boards.

A man's character may be learned from the adjectives which he habitually uses in conversation.

This is a very interesting quote by Twain, though, not too surprising. He seemed to be a bit of an intuitive sort, and also was a man of good humor, thus lending this a possible "tongue-in-cheek" quality. Either way, it's a fascinating bit of information by a fascinating man in history.

I knew of that quote and thought it was quite interesting about Halley's Comet and Mark Twain.
