Ilona Andrews. I love their books! If they wrote a recipe I would read it and it would be fantastic somehow. I don't know how they do it. The Kate Daniel series is fantastic. The innkeeper series is fantastic. The edge series is fantastic. And don't get me started on the hidden Legacy series! I want to go live in that world. So, yeah Ilona Andrews.

I click on Daniel Silva and Steve Berry. For Daniel, there is no wrong he can do with his Gabriel Allon series.

Tamora Pierce!! I used to have her like collected works as a kid. I still have a few, but honestly her books were like my whole childhood.

I would have to say, Catherine Coulter! This woman has never let me down! Her stories just pull you in, and even after the book has ended, you still want to continue reading. I especially love her romance novels!

There really isn't a single author who hasn't let me down at some point. I think something that's important to realize that every author is going to have some books that don't live up to the level that their most amazing ones do. And that's okay. Before I read Renegades, I would've said that Marissa Meyer never let me down, but unfortunately the series just didn't have the spark that her other novels did.

Now, I'm certain that every author merely has good and bad points and I will appreciate them for the good ones.

Liane Moriarty. Her novels are always perfectly paced with fantastic character development and great plot twists.

Cormac McCarthy and Raymond Carver. I’ve read all of Carver’s short stories (haven’t gotten to his poetry) and many of McCarthy’s work. One of my reading goals this year is to read all of his books.

For me, Roald Dahl's books and style of writing never seem to disappoint my youthful side. The simplicity with which he writes, yet meaningful plots he devises are always sufficient to quench my literary thirst. From Charlie and the Chocolate Factory all the way to Tales of the Unexpected, his books are a certain way for me to get lost and feed my imagination. I think his books are addressing all ages, and given the characteristic, playful and fun sketches in each book, I'd say it is a great time killer!

From Dan Brown to Sidney Sheldon and to John Grisham. They never let you down.
And of course not forgetting Jeffrey Archer and JK Rowling. I loved her Harry Porter series.

Erik Larson. Devil in the White City was gripping, In the Garden of Beasts was both compelling and frightening, and Dead Wake was intriguing. While some books are certainly weaker than others, I still get excited when I see that he's written something new.
