Oceanside wrote: 09 Apr 2018, 11:37 Stephen King is definitely my go to author. A lot of people peg him as a horror/thriller author which he most definitely excels at, but he can also write thoughtful and heart-wrenching stories as well. His stories always included well rounded and fully developed characters and he always adds detail to his stories that most authors don't. Even though his books have taken me months to read, I have never been disappointed.
Stephen King is one of my favorites as well - great choice! What is your favorite novel by him?

I really enjoyed the sequel for The Shining called Doctor Sleep. Under the Dome was also a really good one too.

I've loved everything by Cinda Williams Chima. I understand and empathize with her characters even if I don't agree with their choices or actions. Everything in her books makes sense. I recommend her books to people who read a lot or want to read more. Well, I recommend her books to everyone, really.

John Grisham always makes sure his crime thrillers are exactly that.

Richelle Mead. Cecelia Ahern. Rick Riordan would have been on the list if I hadn't read The Burning Maze yesterday.

True. I really love Grisham. What's your favorite? But i was a bit disappointed with Painted House. Have you read that one?

I've never been let down by John Green, Slyvia Plath, or F. Scott Fitzgerald. I've loved every work I've read by all of them.

I would start with Fuenteovejuna or The Gardener's Dog. They are plays that read a lot like Shakespeare, but I think De Vega is better at female characters.

I am enthralled by the works of Guy Gavriel Kay, especially the Fionavar Tapestry (trilogy). All his books are wonderful, but deep. I have to re-read The Fionavar Tapestry trilogy at least once a year.

Can you tell me what the trilogy is about without spoilers? The title sounds interesting
