Aesop and a Math book. I realized that i could learn by reading HAHA.

I suppose whoever started the Berenstain Bears. As a child, my mother took me to the library each week. I didn't understand why I couldn't check them all out.

Sherlock Holmes. I fell in love with the crime solving genre and everthing. And then came Harry Potter. And mystery and magic and dragons. I couldn't come out of it then.

Roald Dahl with his short story "The Way Up to Heaven". It started my love for incredible plot twists.

It wasn't a single author. My parents bought me a roughly 100-volume series of The Hardy Boys when I was young. I burned through most of them in a spring and summer. I don't recall ever reading for pleasure before then.

I guess I would have to go back to my childhood and say that Ann M. Martin books were what I started with. Baby-sitters Club and Baby-sitters Little Sister were my first favorite books to read.

R. L. Stine. All I ever read when I was 13 were goosebumps or fearstreet. It was definitely a good time.

For me it was Judith McNaught. Her books are seriously magical.

The 12 set of Disney books of the princess stories to panchatantra and jataka tales, started it all for me. I started reading when I was quite young and narrated these stories to my friends. It used to be fun when they find a movie or a tv show that showcases these stories that I narrated to them. They used to ask how do I know the story before it was even a movie. I loved to keep my secrets though they eventually figured it out later.
