Oh, I love this stuff! Particularly Eleven Minutes and Veronika Decides to Die.

I know that they are mostly considered "inspirational" but I think books come to you at the right time in life and when you find a good book at the right time, it sticks with you.

I like how Paulo Coelho writes. He writes from the heart that you can feel the stoey flow and can relate from some of the events, it seems to me it is like an eye opener. Try "Veronica decides to die" one way or the other we can relate with it.

I’ve only read The Alchemist but I loved the flow and poetry of the words. I also liked how he made it an obvious but complex allegory, that takes skill. Coelho is an amazing author and I need to read more of him.

I used to like the spiritual aspect of his books, but then I got tired of that and haven't read him since. Might try again this year, maybe.

Paulo Caelho is my all time favorite writer. His story lines are great with aspects of spirituality and fear all wrapped together. You just put down his book....

"Paulo Coelho" is a very famous author of many best seller books like "The Witch Of Portobello" and "The Alchemist". He is an author with a life full of great experiences and the knowledge he has gained from his experiences is shared in his writings. As I read his biography book so I got to know that he was a black magus and he had a very odd experience because of those evil powers and he thought that his life was almost going to be finished but he survived and he had started his journey with positive and spiritual powers. I am currently reading his book "The Alchemist" and got to know that this book helps in taking right decisions in life and inspiring to fulfill our dreams.

Paulo Coelho is a great writer. Incredible as it may seem he is considered a charlatan here in Brazil. The left-wing "intellectual" elite circle doesn't like him very much.

I remember reading "The Alchemist" and having my mind blown. I was young and it was such a different type of book from what I was used to. He is definitely a most interesting writer.

I was much excited to read 'The Alchemist' what with all the fuss about it. But I found the book only okay, and a bit too over-rated. I enjoyed 'Veronica decides to die' better.

I honestly find his writing to be mediocre and I think his books, although they try to come across as philosophical, lack any kind of real message and depth. In my opinion (and I might be very wrong :? ) his only book worth reading is The Alchemist.

I was also quite blown away the first time I read The Alchemist. It's definitely a book for the more spiritually-minded individual, or those looking for a sign to pursue their passions. There are very few books that I re-read, but this is one I can always go back to.
