I personally don't like either author, but I'd probably go with Nicholas Spark. His characters are more believable for me.

I have to go with NIcholas Sparks. I love his books and they seem to suck me in. John Green, I wasn't able to really get into as much.

For me, I would have to say Nicholas Sparks. Although I like the way John Green writes, Nicholas Sparks writes with an emotional depth that connects with me on various levels. I also like the feel-good aspect to his novels; a little bit like eating a warm apple pie on a cool autumn day. Sparks' books entice you and you know you're going to feel satisfied after reading one of his books.

I have read books by both authors. Nicholas Sparks' characters are more matured and the plots are more profound compared with those of John Green who, I notice, focuses more on younger characters. Though I don't go much for hard core drama I still prefer Sparks over Green but it doesn't mean I don't like Green :-)

I can't choose! Both are awesome writers; however, if I had to pick one, it would probably be Nicholas Sparks because of just one book by him: A Walk To Remember. AWTR has been one of my favourite books since... a long time. The movie is amazing as well.

I would say Nicholas Sparks because I have read a few books and really enjoyed them. I don't know that I have read anything by John Green might have to now.

Nicholas Sparks or John Green? I'm going to have to go with John Green. Main reason because I've yet to read a Nicholas Sparks book but I truly truly love John Green's books!

I have yet to read a book written by Nicholas Sparks, but I have read most of John Green's published works this year. I guess I'm a little biased but for now, I am going to vote for John Green. He has quickly become one of my favorite authors. I'm sure I will like Nicholas Sparks too, as soon as I can get my hands on one of his novels.

I have never read a John Green book, but Nicholas Sparks is my favorite among all others I have read. So even if I do read John Green for me it will always be Nicholas Sparks.

In fact hands down Nicholas Sparks and not only for Notebook or A Walk to Remember but also Message in A Bottle.

John Green is the high school version of Nicholas Sparks, in my opinion. Both literally and metaphorically. Sparks writes romance that moms would enjoy, and Green writes romance daughters would enjoy.
