Daniel A Roberts wrote: 23 May 2022, 13:45 man oh man. All the authors I want to buy a beer for are deceased. My two favorites are far apart in the genre department. First one, Roger Zelazny. I'd love to buy him a beer! Next is Don Pendleton. His beer has been well earned!

There are many other authors I truly cherish, but these two are worthy of their beers because I was young when I picked up their books and found a different world to escape through. Good stuff all around.
Roger Zelazny would be great. I haven't thought about his books in quite a while. It's great remembering them now.

If he were still alive, Frank Herbert. I would love to discuss his theories and beliefs.

Agatha Christie if she were still alive. I think she would be a lot of fun and I love her wits.

Robert Greene is one author I would love to have a beer with. I am always in awe of his thought process anytime I read his books. It takes a lot of ingenuity to write the way he does.

Hunter Thompson. Before he shot himself; well, maybe even now if I could bring him back. I'm sure he'd be rank and rotty and all, but I might do it. He was just that cool.

I want to have a beer with David Ceroni. He is very cool. A retired special agent will make my night more exciting. I will listen to all of his missions.

Robert Coover's short story is about a lifetime of events set in motion by a man deciding to go for a beer at a neighborhood bar.
