Neil Gaiman. I've seen interviews with him, and seen some of his performances that were offbeat and not about his writing. I think we'd agree on the things that matter, and get along very well.

I could go for a beer with Stephen King! But there are many authors who I would like to meet!

That'll be George Orwell. I want to ask him what's going on in his head when he wrote 1984.

I would like to meet Anna Santos because she writes books about strong women taking charge of the lives.

Jacqueline Carey, but I feel liked it’d be something more refined like a liquor in crystal goblets while we lounged on big pillows.

I'd want to have a drink (not beer though, never liked the taste) with Edgar Allen Poe. I think it would be interesting.

It would indeed, but surely the drink would have to be Amontillado, if not the whole cast! :wine:

Definitely GK Chesterton. Wise, playful and possessing a mind ripe with paradoxical statements. Imagine the banter!

I would love to have a beer with Shel Silverstein. I love his quirky sense of humor and unique take on life. His silly poems in books like Where the Sidewalk Ends and A Light in the Attic inspired me to love reading and not take life so seriously at a young age that I have carried to adulthood and now passed on to my kids. Still today I find his books so much fun!

I'd have lunch or a brief Bible study session with Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins. The Tribulation Force is one of my favorite series ever!
