It would definitely have to be Stephen King. I have been following his work 16 years now (and I'm 27 lol). I wish I could just ask him certain questions about his inspirations and compliment his dog in person.

A couple of years back I would have answered with no hesitation J.K Rowlings, but for resenting events occurred on her way of referring to the LGTB community, where I belong, I see myself forced to change my answer (which is actually pretty shameful) I would love to drink a couple of beers with John Green. Well, if I could bring him back from the dead for this, it would be Terry Pratchett. It's not just that I've been such a fan of his for so long, or that his writing itself is fantastic and varied. Or the Discworld I am so very in love with. But his mind is fascinating. I've read interviews of his, his satire, and even heard from his family.
His take on what is currently going on in the US would be hilarious and pointed no doubt.
I'd also have to mention how some of his satire has helped shape my views on the economy and politics in general
