Leon Uris and/or Mario Puzo but they are both late, so it has to be Stephen King/Dean Koontz and/or Ted Dekker/Malcolm Gladwell.
Why should I settle for one?

I would love to have a drink with Molly Bloom. I recently read her book Molly’s Game and I am really interested in learning more about her life after running these infamous poker games!

Margaret Atwood, without a doubt. Her Twitter feed is amazing to watch and I would love to chat with her about how she is inspired to write such deep, complex novels about anarchy and the human condition.

While he is technically not an 'author' per se, I'd also love to sit down with Aaron Sorkin because his way with words is fascinating and The West Wing is a masterclass in dialogue and character development.

Definitely Stephen King. There is so much I'd like to ask him about where he draws inspiration, if he uses his books to channel negative thoughts and feelings, how his family responded to his work. I'd also like to ask him what made him publish his fantasy book under a pseudonym.

I'd like to know which of his novels he's most proud of and also at what point he really started to feel like a writer.

Just a few questions :P

Definitely Stephen King. Brilliant doesn't really do his writing justice, but that's the best word I can come up with. I enjoyed reading his book On Writing to learn more about how he developed in his craft and about him as a person.

I know her main profession isn’t writing but she still has a book out so I’m going for it... Ruby Wax! I think she would be great fun to share a beer with!

Stephen King. What a huge collection of great stories and I think he would be fascinating to talk to over a beer.

Bernard Cornwell. I would love to understand how he researches all his Historical Fiction novels

John Sandford. Just because his characters are so cool.

I'd have a beer and any other drink with Bernard Show or Mark Twain. Both of them seem to have been very interesting and smart.
