J.K. Rowling without a doubt for me. She's inspired me to continue writing and reading her books has helped me learn better ways to develop my own writing skills.

Can I buy Sylvia Plath a drink ?
If were creating hypotheticals that don't exclude the deceased I would have loved to have met her and sat down to talk for awhile. I'm sure the scene itself would have been memorable.

I mean, I would probably pick Neil Gaiman just because of his vivid imagination and based off of how...interesting drinking convos would be.

I'd want to talk to Roxane Gay. She's fascinating to me, she's an impressive essay writer and creative author. I want to pick her brain so bad.

William H. Coles is that author I will like to have beer with because I love his stories.

Darynda Jones. She wrote the Charley Davidson series. Charley is so cooky and quirky - I would just love talking to the woman that created one of my all-time favourite characters.

Brian Jacques, I would love to tell him how he brightened up my life all through my childhood, when I really needed it.
And maybe Lord Byron because I saw another poster put him and that sounded so fun. He would be an absolute riot.
I probably wouldn't want to meet them both at the same time; watching Brian Jacques engage in Byron's 18+ antics would just scar me for life. I'd prefer to think of him as a sweet children's author, thanks...

Arthur Conan doyle - Sherlock Holmes
I would love to meet him over a beer and try to figure out just how his brilliant mind works and how he managed to shape SH into a masterpiece.

Stephen King for sure! Or Iain Rob Wright. I love them both, it would be so interesting to hear their conversations too, they're both horror authors but completely different.
