Jane Austen because I would love to see her take on modern singles.

A Nobel laureate of literature from India
Have read his short stories . What is absolutely stunning to me is the simplicity of his language through which he is able to move a person .
Writing at its finest

If you would like to hear an improv take on what some authors might have to say, check out the dead authors podcast. It is basically actor Paul F. Tompkins (as HG Wells) interviewing an author from the past (a host of other actors) that he has retrieved with his "time machine." These interviews were live in front of an audience for the most part and are really entertaining.

Maybe I should come up with an alternate...
Lucy Grealy - memoir author of Autobiography of a Face. She's one of my fellow alumnus from Sarah Lawrence College in New York. She was an amazing person and writer.
