The first author I read everything by as a young adult to current was Lisa Gardner. I started with a random book given to be by a friend, The Killing Hour. I read the book in two days and I was hooked. When I found out there were books before that one I went out and bought them all. I now have her newest book, Right Behind You, and I am dying to read it. I am trying to hold out until our too cold to swim beach vacation. I recommend her to anyone that loves a good Murder Mystery.

Dan Brown. He was big when I was in middle school. Not so much a fan now.

edit: No, now that I think about it, I was crazy about those Encyclopedia Brown books when I was a kid. Unfortunately, my school's library didn't have them all. Later I believe it was Madeleine L'Engle and I did manage to read all of her books. :)

I don't want to read James Patterson's adult books but I want to read every single one of his kid's books. There's quite a few of them too!

Another author is Jenny Han. I have all of her books so far and another one is coming out in May. I plan on adding it to my collection, of course.

After reading "Have spacesuit, will travel," by Robert Heinlein as a kid, I was hooked on science fiction. I didn't have access to his raunchier, later works as a kid, but read all I could get my hands on. As an adult, I was able to completely read through his works, but still enjoy the ones I read as a child the best.

When I was in grade 6 I just had to read through The Ticket series by Gary Paulson. Such a good series.

I'd have to say the first series I had to read everything of was the Nancy Drew Mysteries. Unfortunately, I can't even remember the author. I am presuming there was just one.

The Brontë sisters. I even chose them for my dissertation. I really liked their style and the stories felt so personal.
Later on I discovered Dan Brown and even now if I read a book that I like, I try to read at least one other book from the same author. Just to compare

As a young woman it had to be "The Babysitter's Club" and "The Nancy Drew series". I just about finished all the books there were in each of them. I don't know if anyone else has felt sad and purposeless after finishing such a huge series or even a small one, but I always seemed to. I just get so attached to the characters and find it hard to jump into another series right after. I'm not to sure about the authors of these books since most weren't written by the same one from book to book.

Robert Jordan-as a young teen, I really got into his Wheel Of Time series and eagerly bought each new book in the series as they came out.

I read all of the Harry Potters books and every time that one was released I would ask for it for Christmas or my birthday. I was able to read all seven and I watched all seven of the movies. I will admit I was a bit of a Harry Potter fan.

It's a tie between Gail Levine and Joseph Delaney. I was a big fairytale fan back then, but I was just starting to get into horror, and the Spook's Last Apprentice helped me ease into that terrifying world. However, I did keep rereading the Princess Tales volumes, and whenever I saw Levine's name on a book, I just picked it up and started reading. I also liked reading Edgar Allen Poe's literary works, though I thought it was a shame that almost every woman he loved died of tuberculosis.
