I also am working my way through a lot of the Michael Crichton, Dean Koontz, and Stephen King books, but I find that I'm not as anxious to read every single one, although I have read quite a few and still have a ton on my "want to read" list!

I love everything Bronte! I could easily read and study their works simply for pleasure.SilviaP21 wrote:The Brontë sisters. I even chose them for my dissertation. I really liked their style and the stories felt so personal.
Later on I discovered Dan Brown and even now if I read a book that I like, I try to read at least one other book from the same author. Just to compare

Dan Brown is also a personal favorite. I love the suspense and non-stop action he creates. I also appreciate his research about the historic locations he uses in his books. I wonder where he will take us now with Origins.SilviaP21 wrote:Dan Brown. Although now I have to read Origins. Can't wait

You must be an intellectual to fancy Thomas Hardy. I had The Return of the Native for College English Lit and I swear it was an agonizing heathen read haha.Reuben 92 wrote:Enid Blyton was definitely my first. As a primary school kid I devoured the Famous Five series, and have been recently rereading them. They are every bit exciting in my mid-twenties as they were back then. Then in secondary school I fell in love with Thomas Hardy and I've read all of his short stories, many poems and every novel except "The Laodicean", which I am saving up for a special occasion! I tend to want to read everything by an author once I get hooked though...
