I met David McCullough. It was at a museum where he was giving a talk. What an interesting man and an excellent speaker as well as writer.

Carolyn Haines was the first established author I got to know on a personal level. She was my professor and mentor in college. We've kept in touch for almost 10 years now. She's a wonderful writer, funny, smart, an animal activist, and has published over 80 novels.

Yes, one of my mother's favourite authors. I met him at the book fair. But I haven't met any of my favourite ones, and I am almost afraid to meet one. I fear that being starstruck, I will probably behave like an extremely stupid person in front of them. But things will be worse if somehow they do not match to my expectations and I am somehow disappointed (reminds me of Hazel Grace from Fault in our Stars). I don't ever want that to happen!

I have never met an author in person but when I meet other people who adore my best author I feel even closer to the author.

My friend Lorin Noble is an author. He writes about his healing from multiple addictions in From Crib to Clemency. He is an open, caring person.

In middle school I inadvertently signed up for a writing class that was taught by a local author. I spent two years in that class in place of a normal English/Language Arts class and loved every minute of it. Here's a link to her Amazon page. I enjoyed In a Temple of Trees, but haven't read the others.

I met Terry Pratchett a couple of times at conventions, book signings and upon getting the prize for winning an event. I also once looked up and realised he was using the urinal beside me! We didn't shake hands that time.

I've never met an author before, but I wish I could meet Stephen King and JK Rowling especially. Their (social media) personalities seem so likable!

Well, if you count published students and professors of creative works at my university, then I guess I have met a few authors! (I'll be one of those folk one of these days :) ) Just, not the ones people are always raving about.

I don't believe I have, but I would love to someday! It would be my absolute dream to meet J.K. Rowling since she practically inspired to continue and improve my writing.
