PS I Love You- Cecilia Ahern

She was only 19 when she wrote it and the concept is beautiful and original. A true author creating a world and showing how she would handle knowing that death was coming and deciding how to comfort those you love when you are gone.

RHIANNON LASSITER'S Hex. If I'm not mistaken she was 18 when she wrote it. And Paolini's Eragon.

Altered Carbon by Richard K Morgan. Can't believe he created such an imaginative original world for his first book!

Steph K wrote: 08 Dec 2017, 12:41 Borderline by Mishell Baker. Also Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel. I believe she was a first time author when she wrote that.
I also enjoyed "Station Eleven" and hope to read more from that author.

Eragon by Christopher Paolini. He wrote it when he was 15 and his father published it.

A thousand Fire Flies by Mathews Buyu. I read it 40 or so years back and we were told it was his first book. I loved it.

There was a book called Split by Swati Avasthi that I enjoyed greatly. Her portrayal of life after abuse was well done and realistic. The characters were well developed, relatable, and memorable. It's one that kept you thinking years after reading.

Another favorite was Little Glass Men by Conor Walsh. Honestly, it was meeting the author that made me want to read the book and I was blown away. First, the author was 18 and it is his first book, not that you would know that after reading it. The way he incorporated history was so seamless and again the characters really stick with you!

Definitely To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee. Everything about the book was right and the fact that I had to read it for high school and then uni was definitely a sign if you ask me.
