Tami Hoag

Post by hllyfuzz »

I just read my first Tami Hoag book. It was Dark Horse. I really enjoyed it. I have read where some people who are avid readers of hers, said it wasn't their favorite by her. So I'm guessing, I won't be disappointed by her other books????.........

I really enjoy Tami Hoag! One of my favortie suspense tied with romance authors.

I haven't read "kill the messenger" yet.

Prior Bad Acts is my favorite Hoag book.

If you like Tami Hoag you should try Greg Isles. I was a huge Hoag fan but when I read Blood Memory I detoured to Isles.

His books are thinkers too. My favorite of his is The Third Degree.

Hoag is an excellent read. She is witty And can weave a smooth plot. I can be a tough critic; but, I've never been disappointed in one of Hoag's books.

Has anybody ever noticed her picture on her book and thought she looked a Lot like Nora Roberts (another one of my favorites)?

I read one of her books when I was about fifteen or sixteen and I couldn't really get that into. I don't remember which book of hers that I read though. Maybe I should give her another shot, although my tastes in books really haven't changed too much over the years.

We cannot be talking of excellent reads without mentioning John Grisham. Like seriously, that guy sure knows how to keep one in suspense!?

Tami Hoag is another of my favored authors in the crime and thriller genre. She started out writing romance novels ( of the Mills and Boone variety) but is now a best-selling writer of suspense novels. Her latest was Cold, Cold Heart released in 2015. I am eagerly awaiting the next one.

I've never read that by her, but then again I haven't read, but one of her books. I randomly found one of her books in my house called, The Darkest Road. I have no idea where it came from, but I read it in a few days. I enjoyed it and I've said since that I would pick up more by her. Yet, I haven't. I will one of these days, I hope.

Dark Horse was excellent! I appreciated the fact that the technical aspect of the horse world she uses as the stories premise, was so correct.

That's because Tami is an expert rider and is into horse dressage herself.

I like her thrillers, but they are on the gory side. If you want lighter horse thrillers, you won't go wrong with Dick Francis, former champion jockey for the Queen.

Responding to Miriam Molina's comment I am in total agreement regarding Dick Francis. His books are a bit dry for my liking. However, he is a noted horseman and his skills as a writer are incredible.
