For me, mine has to be Tanith Lee. I love her Wolf Tower and Silver Metal Lover series.

Nicholas Sparks. I hate that I love to get sucked into a soap opera romance every once in a while.

I'd have to add Nicholas Sparks to mine, too, along with manga authors in general. There's just something fun about how overdramatic manga can be, and sometimes I just need a little fun rather than reading serious books all the time.

I don't usually feel guilty about what I read, but I have to confess that I have read a few Star Trek novels on the sly (meaning that I didn't read them in front of anyone I knew). I don't know why I'm bashful about this--maybe because I felt a little childish about it (I used to love the shows when I was a kid). However, I respect the reading choices of others and try not to judge based on their preferences. Any reading is good reading.

Ellen Hopkins is my guiltiest pleasure author. Her books just speak to me because I have gone through some of the things she has written about. Drug Addiction/ Suicidal tendencies this was all when I was younger about 15-21 when I was going through a dark time in my life after my mother died. Since then I have come to terms with my life and Ellen Hopkins is the one who helped me out of my darkness.

My newest guilty pleasure author is Robyn Peterman with her Hot Damned series.. The books are a bit naughty, but the story lines are a riot. The characters are wild and crazy but you constantly want to see what their up to next.. If you can ignore some very explicit sex scenes, or enjoy them, this is a fun romp of a read by a very good author.

I get the urge to cover up my romance novels if someone catches me reading one. I just feel that people stereotype a woman reading romance. I like John Grisham, Stephen King, James Patterson, Orson Scott Card and a variety of other kinds of author's. Don't judge me by the book in my hand, there's so much more in my home library.

My guilty pleasure author is Catherine Anderson, historical romance for the win! In particular her Keegan's Lady is my favorite. I have read it so many times when I'm feeling sad that pages are falling out.

I would definitely have to say Jackie Collins. I have been reading her books since I was a teem. I like her stories they are so descriptive of everything and her characters come to life; page turners and I love it. She really is a great author for guilty pleasures.
