I know that J.K. Rowling is a fan favorite. That was is given. She created a whole based on her imagination. However, she is not mine. Here is a list of mine:

Sherrilyn Kenyon
Christine Feehan-Only started to read because of the name :D
Jamie Begley
Sarah Brianne

Those are my top reads right now. The list might change, no wait, yes it will change. But for now, these are the authors that I look forward to reading their work.

My favorite author is hands down S.E Hinton. When I first picked up The Outsiders it was just a random book I picked up because I needed to read something for class. It was just in the bookshelf of the classroom. Now I am in love with this book and not only that one, but all of her books. It just seems to me that she tells a story from a different perspective of life than most authors I have read. Everyone seems to always have the rich person side of view and never think of the other side of things. Her books just make feel so much too because with like all books you start to love all the characters and hate to see them go. She is one of the most brilliant authors I have read.

For a western author I sure enjoy Will James his realness and deep rich writing in a simple way captured my attention. It took a little to get his style but no regets on the effort.

Right now my favorite author is Lynn Austin. I have been trying to read most of her books. So far there has only been one book of hers I was not too fond of. She just has a very unique way of writing that gets me sucked in.

I have so many favorites ranging from JRWard to Stephen King to Patricia Cornwell. I have so many favorite books but I would have to say that as a grown up I will always enjoy The giving Tree by shel Silverstein. I enjoy reading this book with my kifs. I always tey to read new authors during the times when the authors I read have no current books out.

My all-time favorite is Dostoevsky. I fell in love with literature when I read Crime & Punishment for a high school literature class. I HATED the book at first, but by the end I was blown away by the depth of his characters. I'm always drawn back to Dostoevsky because of his uncanny ability to make fictional characters three-dimensional, to seem even more realistic than people in real life. The Brother's Karamazov is a close second, but I have strong emotional ties to Crime & Punishment so that will always be my favorite book. :)

I love a good crime or mystery novel and one of my favorite is Patricia Cornwell. I love the Scarpetta series. James Patterson is another favorite. I just finished his book Private and as always I was pleased. I recently discovered Lisa Gardner and I am very pleased with the FBI Profiler series.

For me I will say that Mark Bello is my favourite author. The expert narration of the story line in his book "Betrayal of Faith" did the trick.
