Why would an inmate on death row have a pet turtle?
Sorry, that just seems odd

I didn't like the drug references, being unfamiliar with the drug scene I didn't quite get the references. Otherwise this seems like a good book!

I read both reviews and the positive review may have been more positive than the negative review. With both reviews in mind, I definitely want to see a sample of the book so I can make a decision based on my own experience. Reading can be a very personal thing and it was interesting to see the two differing reviews. Thanks to both reviewers.

After reading the mixed reviews I gave the sample a try. I liked the characters and just from the one and a half chapters I have read, I will read the rest. Thanks for the insight.

I could tell nothing from the title or the cover. Was not sure what the theme was like. But I do not enjoy books with lot of religious undertones. So this might not be the book for me.

The title of the book is captivating enough. There seems to be a lot going on at once but following the plot, I can tell that itโ€™s interesting and worth the read. I do agree that a book of this nature would affect its readers differently. Congratulations on BOTD ๐Ÿ˜

Great review! I read the sample of this book and felt that the story is deep. I am glad that Tully kept his promise to his friend and reached out to Chloe. I think that the title of the book suits it perfectly. Nothing is ever cast in stone or all black or white. In Thin Places we see Tully finally start to do the right things in his life despite all he has been through and all the mistakes. By in his own way keeping the promise he made to his friend, we see hope for Tully the liar and drag addict. This book is full of Hope and we this is well indicated in the review.
