The reviewer of Thin Places first notes that it was difficult for her to understand. Then goes on to give a good summary of the book.
The reader's mind is already tuned to the difficulty of the book before they even start reading it.
However the reviewer gives an honest recommendation on how to improve the book.
This review has made me eager to read this book

I wish this review had more thoughts and information on the book, as it is, it feels more like a summary of it, which makes me think that's not much substance to the book, I was interested to hear more about the Irish elements. Still that's a fairly informative review.

This book is to me a rollercoaster story which any reader will find difficult to shelf not until the last page. Tully really had an assignment cut in the twist of his growing feelings for Chloe. Calvery on the other hand paid for a crime he's innocent of. The twist in plot makes the book enticing. It uses suspense to engage it's readers. It's a truly compelling book. Thanks for this review.

This seems like an interesting title. It is a self discovery journey. I think I would be interested in the Irish folklore part too. Congratulations on the BOTD and best wishes for future projects.

Woohoo! You just about summarized the entire book. I have a pretty good idea of the plot's development, and I'm now wondering if I should eventually read it.
I'm sad for Chloe losing her Father that way, and I'm sadder that Calvery couldn't fulfill his promise of meeting his daughter one more time before his death. I hope Tully keeps his Word, though, and fulfill a dead man's wish. In all, "Thin Places" by Diane Owens Prettyman sounds interesting.

Congrats on BOTD! Thank you for the thorough review! While parts of it sound predictable, sometimes I prefer that. I'm looking forward to reading this book.

I wonder how Calvery was making wine in prison, though. I love how detailed the book is and how Finn kept his promise to his dying friend. I wonder if he could go back home to his daughter Lacey despite his divorce from his ex-wife. This is an excellent recommendation and congratulations on book of the day.

Thin Places - has my attention. Nice review by the way. What did Calvery do? What was his crime? Is he indeed innocent? I will be reading this one soon and make up my own mind.

Thank you for this review, kfagan. I wish you detailed more of your thoughts on this book rather than mostly summarizing the plot. It does seem like a complicated story, though, so I understand lol. I think I will give 'Thin Places' a try. Well-done!

Thanks for sharing such an in-depth review! It sounds like Thin Places has a little bit of everything—self-discovery, mystery, and even some Irish folklore. I like how you highlighted the personal growth aspect of both Tully and Chloe’s stories. It must have been really emotional seeing how they deal with the weight of their circumstances. Your comment about the climax makes me curious, though! I’ll have to check it out for myself. Great job on the review!
