First Ten review changes

Post by kfwilson6 » 27 May 2018, 13:54

Hello

I would like to suggest some changes for the First Ten program.

1) Can we please have access to edit until the review is moderated?
2) Can we have a link to a list of all the books we marked yes and all the books we marked no? Sometimes I'm ready to read one of the BOTD but I have to do a bit of research to find the ones I was most interested in.

Thank You!

I really like your second suggestion; even though I have them all Pinned on Pinterest under "Books to Read", it'd be way easier to have a link to them all on the First Ten page.

Yes, kfwilson6, I'm in your corner!
I did a first ten review the other day, and as I pressed submit, saw that my mouse had somehow moved one of my sentences into the middle of another one. :icon-rolleyes: Wish I had the option to change it, but it is now there for all the world to see. Sigh.
And I agree with checking your past yes and no decisions. Helps a lot when choosing something to read.

What is the "First Ten" program, please? Or where can I find the details to read myself?

Thanks in advance.

When you are eligible to participate, a tab will appear on your Review Team Page. All of the details of the program will appear there. It's too much to type here.
Life without a good book is something the CatInTheHat cannot imagine.

Grateful to get the opportunity to explore new books with those in the OBC.

In a nutshell, it's a program wherein you read the daily sample - or the "first ten" pages of the book if it's free - and then write a brief paragraph on if you plan to finish reading the book or not. There are several questions to focus on in this paragraph, and for every 30 days' worth of completes, you get a $20 Amazon gift card; the card's sent 1x/month in bulk to everyone who's done it 30x since the cards were last sent.

I hadn't heard of the program until now. Sounds interesting. I'm curious, how do you become eligible? Is there a set of standards or something?

I believe you have to be level 3 before you can participate.

Another suggestion I have is the ability to rewrite a First Ten review after having one rejected.
