Hi Scott,

I am fairly new to Online Book Club and it has taken me sometime to become familiar with the platform. I am suggesting that the club could make a video, youtube or otherwise, that shows newcomers how to navigate around the platform.

I believe it would assist in attracting a lot of newcomers to the club.

Cool idea!

I think that is great idea.

I think this is a great idea too. I feel that the guidelines page is good, but there is so much information that it takes awhile to learn what you are supposed to be doing.

There is a lot of confusion about where reviews get posted. I think some tutorial videos would be very helpful.

They get posted in the Private Review Team Forum. It says that in the guidelines and under the update tab on each Reviewer's Review Team Page.

Well I do know that. What I meant was, other people are obviously confused given the number of reviews that get posted in the support forum.

Once you get used to the site it seems easy, but at the beginning, it is confusing, even with all the guidelines. I'm glad people took time in the forums to help me.

Yes, I totally agree. Also, it would be so much easier if some of the features of the website will be emphasized for I believe that the website is quite confusing if you're just really starting.

I also think that the site is a bit difficult to navigate unless you take the time to really sit down and carefully read all instructions and guidelines. I saw that the site has a You Tube channel, it would be great to have more guidelines there about the site.

Don't you think it's a reasonable expectation that one would take the time to "carefully read all instructions and guidelines?" I'm not opposed to other means, but reading is fundamental for this one.

Yeah but it's a busy world you know. Who has the time or patience to read instructions for a website in the 21st century. I think our technology is advanced enough to have websites that are easy to navigate to everyone. I mean I'm not critisizing the creators I'm just justifying my reasons for wanting easy tutorials for the site.

That's excellent idea.

Another idea would maybe do a facebook live event where people can go on Facebook watch a breakdown of how to navigate the site, helpful tips, and answer any questions. By doing it live question from observers could be answered right then and there, and people could go back to watch it later to see questions people asked already. It can be done fairly often to if necessary, plus you just send out a notice for the live feed and at what time it will be happening. More personal and interactive.

I feel like that is a great idea too! When I first joined it was hard to figure out where to go. I've been here about 2 months and I finally feel like I know where everything is but it took about that long before I finally learned everything.
