Junior Editors

So that we can provide faster and better support, this forum (the "Public Suggestion Box") has been retired. Instead, please send any suggestions you have to us using the official website contact form.

This allows us to streamline our support system so that we can get to your message much faster. Instead of our support staff having to check three different places (support forum, suggestion box, and contact form messages), they know can respond to all message through one method, with that one method being the official website contact form.

Keep in mind that the site has grown a lot recently, leading to a significant increase in the amount of reviews for the editors! I think this has probably contributed a lot to the longer wait time for reviews to be edited.
Also, since the change in the score formula, a lot of people have probably been bumped down a few levels. I'm not sure if it affected editors or not, but if it did, that probably would equal fewer editors for the same amount of reviews. Not to mention the addition of volunteer reviews, which means that one person can submit two reviews at once!

According to gali the editors aren't behind. It's just my reviews.

I think you misinterpreted Gali's post, although I don't want to put words in her mouth. She probably meant there is no unusual backlog...not that there is no backlog and "it's just your reviews." As MarisaRose noted, the site has grown and there are many new reviewers. Also, the recent changes in the editor form has resulted in each review taking longer to analyze/score. The combination of these two factors has likely increased the turnaround time. Keep in mind the editorial form and formula was revised partially in response to some reviewers' issues with the editors' scores and comments. That being said, I think your issue should be discussed privately with Scott. I know there is a general policy that review team issues should not be posted here.

I didn't say that. I meant exactly what bookowlie said.

Anyway, enough was said. I am closing this thread. Please privately contact Scott about your issues.
