BOTD doesn't need KU?

Post by WordHound »

Every time there is a book of the day that say kindle unlimited isn't required and the book is free, I'm finding that isn't the case. When I click "read for free" I get a screen trying to sign me up for kindle unlimited. Is there a setting I need to change or something?

I don't have that problem. The link on the Bookshelves leads to the book on Amazon, but you can try to get the book directly from Amazon.

You can't click the read for free button on amazon. You need to click the buy button. You are buying it even though it's $0.00. Try that!

Yes, perfect answer! Thank you @kandscreeley

It's confusing. I suspect Amazon makes it a bit confusing intentionally to try to upsell folks into getting Kindle Unlimited.

Not a problem. I've done that more than once myself!
