Could not write the rating in bold

Hello,
I just had a mishap when I was submitting a book review. I definitely put the rating in bold but I did not put it in the exact same way as the guidelines. That is, I did not use the sentence,"I rate this book 3 out of 4 stars. I tried to submit it twice and it never showed up as bold until I used the exact sentence as in the guidelines. Is this because of the new rating system or is my word processor just glitching? I am also wondering if I received a demerit for submitting the review that did not adhere with the guidelines ( though I did adhere to them)
