The emails are being blocked by AOL. This appears to be an intermittent issue with your email address, in that it has occurred before. Thus, it may resolve itself in a bit of time. Though, then it will also re-occur in time. You will need to contact AOL unfortunately to ask why they are not delivering emails sent to you that you want to get without even putting them in a junk/spam folder.bookowlie wrote:I had been getting them everyday until yesterday. Also, in the past two or three days, I haven't received email alerts about new PM's or new posts for topics I previously commented on.
Only certain email providers have this habit of occasionally blocking email with no notice to the recipient and no option for the receipt to recover the email from a junk/spam folder. It seems like a terrible way to handle the situation in my opinion. There's little harm in putting the email into a junk folder, but quite a bit of harm in having someone miss emails they wanted to get. I don't know why AOL would do that to their own customers.

The problem seems to be resolved. I just received the verification email and have successfully been re-subscribed to the BOTD. It's true that there has been an intermittent issue with the OBC emails in the past. However, up until this latest issue, I haven't had the problem in a long time. Anyway, the good news is my carryover entries are still there.Scott wrote:The emails are being blocked by AOL. What is grief, if not love persevering?
Grief is just love with no place to go.

On one hand, I'd like there to be a way to keep my entries, or to at least loose only a percentage, but I understand why it is the way it is.

PS...It certainly doesn't encourage me to go to the site each day, or comment on the review (which I assume is the point of the giveaway), when I know many of my points will just be taken away in a few days.
