What is grief, if not love persevering?
Grief is just love with no place to go.

PS...As you can see, so far there was no member response to blueme's suggestion, no response to my 8/7 suggestion, and no regular member (non-moderator) response to italicoil's suggestion except for mine, even though there were 278 views!! Point made?? I still think members' convenience is of the utmost importance to get an accurate view of members' opinions!

I find when there are like and dislike buttons, people live and die by how many likes, or worse, dislikes their posts receive. I think a disagree button would ultimately lead people to not post if they feel like they've gotten too many in the past. Or could lead to animosity between members. This is a very peaceful forum and I think the absence of these sorts of buttons are a part of that. That's just my two cents.TIGER999 wrote:I'm not sure that it does encourage most members to respond...I suspect most readers just move on, and don't bother to write a reply, unless they feel extremely strongly one way or the other. I think most people are too busy, or in too much of a hurry to stop & write a response. It could also tally all the responses together...especially if there was both an "agree" and "disagree" button. Suggestion: why not try it out for a bit, & then evalutate the results? You might be surprised!

Also, I'm not sure if members should be encouraged to post to something they don't feel strongly about. That could take away from the number of meaningful posts on this forum. Once again, just my opinion.
