Yearly Goals - None for 2020

Post by KristyKhem »

Hi,

I just noticed that there is no option on Bookshelves for setting a reading goal for the year 2020. Perhaps adding that option again could be considered?

Thanks,

That's a really good idea. I think adding that option would be a wonderful improvement. Also how about adding a timer next to the pending reviews. I found myself glancing way too often at the pending sign next to my review because I'm so anxious to get into the reviewing business and to know if I am good at writing them.

I totally agree, I was disappointed to find that there was no option for a 2020 book review. I am doing a challenge this year, 52 books in 52 weeks, but you have to read a new category every week. Its super interesting and really stretches your books you read.

This is actually a great idea! I could maybe try to set a goal for myself!
Although one book a week might be a bit too much for me, maybe one every 2 weeks is something I could try!
Good luck with your challenge :D

That sounds difficult to read a new category each week! It will definitely broaden your view depending on the categories you read :)

Good luck with your challenge!

Idea of adding a timer is a good one. I am also eager most of the times to get my review published asap, to get the opportunity to read another book.
Feeling upset sometimes may be unavoidable, but acting distressed is always optional.

I never would have thought that this site should have a Yearly Reading Goal.
I have my own written somewhere in a notebook or on my phone. But this idea has to be by far the one I came by.
I completely agree with you and support your idea!!! It would be so great to get a reminder once in a while reminding me to get up and read so I can achieve my goal.
I also think that having a Yearly Reading Goal would push and encourage members to read more books. Improving their chances to finish their books and reviews.
Thanks for this great suggestion! Hopefully, the site decides to do this:)
