Some ideas for Scott

(Formerly the "Support, Feedback and Forum Announcements" forum.)
Please help us make Online Book Club even better! Please post suggestions, feedback and ideas for new features. Wild brainstorming and potentially 'crazy ideas' are super-strongly encouraged! :)

For new members (or old members who run into an issue), please make a post in this forum asking any questions you have about using the site and how it works that are not answered in the FAQ. Not only are we happy help you, but also we can use your feedback to make the site better for tomorrow's new member! A lot of the instructions throughout the site and answers in the FAQ are there because someone else pointed out that it wasn't clear before.

Some ideas for Scott

How about having a sub genre? So you could select two genres such as
Main genre: Romance,
Sub genre: comedy

Or
Main Genre: sci-fi
Sub genre: YA

Etc, then you can keep the genre list short

Also
Could the genre tab in book shelves (telling you the total in each) have a link that could jump you to that section?

And I’m just New so I might not be using it right but when I search a book and I click on a link it takes me into that members main page, not the book I’m looking for, maybe a link straight to the listed book with a link to that genre might be more proficient?

I understand you don’t want a like button for reviews but how about for the forums? Then you can display your agreement with multiple people without having to quote them individually ...

Please write all your suggestions in one thread. I am locking this thread.

We decided against like button for the forums as well.
