I loved Delvin and his curious mind, being a young boy with a curious mind. However, I guess this question is broad and requires preference and self-analyzing. For instance, animal lovers would cherish Delvin. Feminists would enjoy following the fearless Princess Jarla.

The connection between Delvin and his bunny was admirable, almost priceless. The author brings a twist when a non-human brings the best out of the protagonist. Who saw that coming!

My favorite is Delvin. It's fascinating what had he done about his magic. It seemed real.

I love Delvin because of his selfless nature. He was willing to help out Jarla stop the war which was not going to really benefit him in any way.

Freda the rabbit is by far the best character for me. I wished she was given more roles in the story though. But I enjoyed the role she played to Delvin as a close confidant and a pet he really loved.

For me the character Delvin and his rabbit will do . It was fascinating to see how Delvin developed from a meek assistance into a Magician.

Delvin was definitely my favourite. Jarla is a strong character but I don't think the dialogue was well-developed. Because she was in command she kept saying "right, let's do this ", "right we will do that ". I couldn't stand more "right" words. I know, I know, I'm being too picky!
I liked Delvin, he had "funny" ideas and I liked the way he "tricked" the black magician into thinking he was doing what he asked.

My choice is surely Delvin, because no matter what he is still the center of interest and still the main character of the story.

I enjoyed reading about all the characters but princess Jarla was my favorite. She was courageous, smart, strong, and full of confidence. She always believed in herself. She was also a great leader.

I completely agree with you. Princess Jarla was very brave. Not just that, I also liked how she was able to add in comedy in her speeches. She is an interesting character, indeed.

I loved Jarla, but Delvin was my favorite. Jarla was too unfeeling for me. I connected better with Delvin because he had a stronger sense of empathy for others and moral duty. Especially at the end of the book when Jarla just ditched him. I know she sent him a purse for his time and money, but it didn't seem right that she never even said a proper goodbye.

Delvin is hands down my favorite character of this book. Fionella was a little wimpy, and Jarla was a horrible person. But Delvin showed compassion and bravery.

While, Princess Jarla is the strongest female character, that I admire in any book, but Delvin is a more relatable and lovable character for me. His character evolved over time.

Princess Jarla really showed why she was a Princess. I mean, isn't how all princesses are meant to be? She was courageous and raised her had high on all difficult situations, which is what drew my attention to her.

Jarla would certainly be my favorite. She is a character who is courageous, and brave and doesn't tolerate rubbish. She is such a character well-developed.
