Kindle Fire or Other

Post by Kendrag »

I currently have a kindle fire but I have a hard time reading inn right lights like outside and find I have to recharge a lot. For someone who primarily uses a kindle for reading what version would you other readers recommend? What are some pros and cons of other kindle models? Thank you!

The basic Kindle model is good for bright lights but it also doesn't have a light. So you can't read when it's pitch black.

I would really like one with a backlights as well so that I could read in the dark! Do you have any cons of the models that also have the backlight?

If you are going to be using it for reading, I would suggest a Kindle Paper White. I have one and its great. It has a built in light that you can adjust, long battery life and it is light.

I have the PaperWhite version and love it! I only use my Kindle for reading. I can easily adapt the light for bright or dark spaces and my battery usually lasts 15 days (I usually read 1 to 2 hours a day).

I like Kindle Paperwhite (have 2 of them in case one is uncharged). I like it because the screen is non-glare, and you can expand the text size.

I have a very earlier version of Kindle which doesn't have backlight I am thinking of upgrading it to a somewhat better one.

I'm currently using my husband's old Kindle Fire, but am thinking about going to Paperwhite. Has anyone used both and have thoughts about the note-taking features in each one. Are they identical or are there differences? If they are identical is there a quality difference that you've noticed between handling notes on a tablet vs. notes on the Paperwhite screen? Any input appreciated!
