Problem: Kindle App won't open .mobi file (Solved)

I was able to send a .mobi file to my kindle email & it showed up under “DOCS” - Device
You can find your kindle email by going to “My Account”
I would assume this should work for other types of documents as well. Hope this helps!!! Much easier than using a USB!!

am having problem opening the novel I selected which titled the pale prince I downloaded it but when I try opening it , delete pop up but no open only for me to delete the file don't know why exactly

After downloading the book McDowell successfully, am unable to open it on my phone. Am using Tecno Y2. Everytime I tried to open it, it says "file not supported ". And have also tried to install the Amazon Kindle app on my phone from playstore but it says the app is not available in your country. This is why have been unable to read the book ever since I downloaded it.

You can try to convert the book to PDF via the free Calibre App. If it doesn't help, you need to quit the book via your Update tab.

I downloaded a book to review, moved it to the books file on my phonr (my smartphone has a built in file manager) and then went to the kindle app to try and open it, it wasnt there, uninstalled and reinstalled, still nothing, redownloaded the book and uninstalled and reinstalled kindle as well, still nothing, it won't let me drag it from file manager to kindle or copy it over in any way shape or form (I've tried all 3 methods listed) I dont know what else to try

I made the mistake of downloading a book (in .docs) to review via my iPhone. It opened in my kindle app on that device; however, because of the nature of the iPhone, the file did not download or save anywhere else on the device except the kindle app on my iPhone.

So far, I have been unable to find a way to transfer the file to any other device (like my actual kindle). The book/file does not show up on my kindle app on my mac, or on my kindle app for my phone. I have plugged in my phone to my Mac to see if there's any way to transfer the file from the phone to the mac, but again, I can't seem to locate the file outside of the kindle app on the phone and can't find a way to transfer that.

I really want to read and review this book, but I truly don't think I can read the whole book on my iPhone. Can anyone help?

You need to buy the book from Amazon to open it.

Only review books are free and you get them from the Review Team Page, NOT from Amazon.

You should report it and ask for another copy via your Update tab.

It may be due to your location.

You still need to buy the BOTD from Amazon, even though it is free. For that you need an Amazon account.
