Amazon message says the ebook has been claimed. I cannot access the book even when I try using the code.

I'm posting here because I've exhausted all other options. My status update was on 28, but my update tab has no button saying "I haven't finished my book, need an extension".
Sending error report theoretically resets the update deadline, hence this post.

The file is a mobile. Its in my downloads and I have kindle installed. It doesn't show in my kindle library and file manager wont ley need moved it there. It says I don't have an app to open it with. Should I delete and redownload? Previous mobi files went directly to kindle with no issue. I'm working with a Samsung Tab A
