I just keep on it around 20 books I want to read and delete the books once I have read them.

Once my kindle has more then 25 or 30 books on it I begin to delete it otherwise its a complete mess to organize it, it is too time consuming for me and I'm not keeping books on that I've already read, whats the point I guess? If I truly love a book, I'll go buy the paperback/hardcover version so I have it.

When I finish a book I delete it from my Kindle but it's still there in "the cloud" if I want to recall it for a reread. Best of all worlds.

I hate when my kindle or my iPhone get too crowded so I am constantly deleting things especially since it takes up memory on the device. One thing I love about it is that any purchases we make are held in our Amazon account and we can always redownload it on the device as long as we don't delete it out of our actual account!

I agree with the other replies: don't keep every ebook on your device.
I allow about thirty books on mine and delete (saved to my cloud!) the rest for future readings.

I have created an abandoned collection and a completed collection. When I have finished a book I add it to my completed collection, and when I discard a book I add it to my abandoned collection. This way they are still accessible on my kindle, but not on my reading menu.

I need to organize mine as well. I'm a hoarder when it comes to books, lol. I have almost 900 on my Kindle.

You can delete the book from the screen when you finish, but it will still be there on your "cloud."

I have a kindle fire and I use the Book Collections Plus app to sort my books into folders. You can have sub folders and a book can be in more than one. Works well for me.

I am an organizer so of course I have folders/collections. I find them very handy to find my books. Then in the folder I put them in alpha-order by author. I only wish my kindle had the capability of sub-folders as well.
