Did I just buy that Kindle?

Post by tjbr52 »

I'm an author. I review books, sitting in a lounge chair under the Bangkok sun. I just oredered one of those Kindle readers because I could get it at half the price of what it was selling for here and my back was begging for relief in front of the computer. What a cool little tool. The scrappy little bugger can even define words I don't understand. They even delivered it in a day when the site said out of stock! No sun glare. The page refreshes every page to adjust. For under a hundred bucks, great buy.

I agree (typing off a kindle fire hd right now :)
They are incredible beasts, and have so much on them.
Plus, from what I'm learning, you can use them to publish onto Amazon, but I still have to read the book they give out for free to know how :)
However, be careful, these buffers can break real easy, especially the inner screen :( but they'll fix it up for you with the warranty they give :)

Been dragging to buy myself one and have put it on my wishlist though. With your comments on it now, I think I need it too and am definitely getting one - thank you for giving me the courage, needed it so much.

Kindles are the best. I have one of the first ones, when they had a limited amount of books. I have never looked back.

Reading everyone's postings has sparked my interest a bit. Mostly the idea of backlight and being able to make print larger. I'm not quite ready but something to think about.

Kindles are great. I do prefer books but they do indeed come in handy.
