Just go to the amazon store via your kindle app if it's on your phone/tablet. If it's an actual kindle, then just hit the home button, and it should say books up at the top, go to that and then the store from there. Or that's how mine is!

When I first got my Kindle, I just went on Amazon and typed in free kindle books in the genre I wanted, which for me was horror.

Love to use my local library for free e-books, but you do have to return them. :-)
I got a lot of the "classics" from the Amazon free kindle books site. And you get too keep these. :-)

I also use my local library for free books when I can. My kindle is connected to WIFI, so I google "free books" and find many new ideas.
Most recently, I signed up for Kindle Unlimited on Amazon and always have between 5 and 6 books on hand to read.

Bookbub is my go-to place for free books too. Try it. It's worth it.

I live in a very small town and get my books thru my library. Would think if my branch can provide books then most others will too. It doesn't cost anything but the time to get a Library card. Good luck Betty

I am not sure, but I think there's a discrimination against my country. Every time I try to download or get a free book I'm told that the free package does not apply to my country, and I'm asked if I want to change my address. So I have to lie about where I live? I don't get that. I live in Nigeria by the way. Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong?

I search “free kindle books” every month and download a ton when they are available. It is a great way to find new authors and series you may have never run across otherwise. You can find Free with all genres so have fun and enjoy. Read on :tiphat:

If you are a member of Amazon Prime, they have a monthly Prime Reading newsletter and you get one free book a month. Usually not a world famous artist, usually. I did however get a George R R Martin book a couple months ago, so you never know what's going to pop up.

Check national archive/library sites. A lot of those now "loan" e-versions of tons of books.

If you enjoy reading older books, try searching for different books that are in the public domain.

LOL after many years of not taking full advantage of my Prime membership, I have learned to take an hour every couple of months to poke around and see what's new! Just read about something the other day, Amazon Cash, you can load cash onto your account now from 7-11 and some other stores, but for a limited time they are giving you I think $10 extra when you complete your first load. Never would have found that on my own.
