There is also a daily newsletter you can sign up for (or I can share it with you by email) called Bookgorilla. You chose the genres you like and it sends a list of book deals for the day. Some are free others very cheap like : $.99, $1.99, etc.

I get most of my books from the library, but it seems like the selection is not as diverse as it should be. I tried the "free classics" in the kindle store. Wow, I wish I knew about that earlier.

This definitely helped. I was looking to brush up on some classics I hadn't read in a while and was worried I would have to purchase them all over again. Finding out that most should be free is such a relief. Thanks for all the helpful tips for searching.

If you see a free Kindle book that you want then get it as soon as you can. Prices often change and it's difficult to tell how long the book will remain free. When downloading a free Kindle book on Amazon verify that the book is still free by making sure the price is $0.00. If it lists a price or says "read for free" or has a price for prime members the book is not free anymore.

Don't forget to checkout the local libraries. Many of them now have the ability to borrow electronic books for kindles, iPads, and so on. Not only is it free, but it also helps support your community.

There are several sites that inform you of free and cheap books. I get daily emails from a couple. Book Bub and Sweet Free Books are two of them. You register on the site and give your genre preferences and from there they tailor the ads to your likes. Often the books are only free or at the low, low price for a day or two so you have to keep up with your email to take advantage. I really like it. That way I do not have to go to Amazon and search them out myself.

Have you ever heard of bookbub? It's free to join and they send you offers for ebooks that are free or at a reduced price (usually for a limited time). I love it

Bookbub is a great resource. I have found lots of books that way. Also, Amazon has a wonderful collection of free books including a bunch of classics that are no longer in copyright, and are readily available to download. Happy hunting!

Most of my books on my Kindle are free. I have a few paid books but I did what someone else does. I go the Kindle Store and type in Free Books. There are pages and pages of them. You also can type in what you want like Free Romance books.

I can't think of any specific titles but a great place to find tons of free e-books is One Hundred Free Books
