You can get a lot of the classic books on Amazon for free.

I'll add Amazon as well, but I also subscribe to some sites that send out a list of free ebooks every day. Book Gorilla and ereaderiq are two of my favorites, but I'm sure if you google it, you can find more. You can choose where the books come from on some lists (Amazon or Barnes and Noble, etc.).

Sign up for a website called Book Bub. It will send you daily deals on Amazon so you can see what books are going on sale at free or $0.99 prices.

Definitely Amazon! I recently was able to download a bunch of free books both classic and books in genres I like to read. :)

Most libraries now have a way to borrow books through overdrive media and amazon. check with your local library and see if that is possible. I use it almost every week.

Bookbub, bookgorilla and digitalbookspot will send you daily emails of free and on sale books. The books will have a link to Amazon. I also have a couple of groups that I joined on Facebook that will list free books.

I also use libraries. Many libraries allow users to set up library cards online and use them to check out digital books. Most libraries also have multiple formats and ways to check out your digital copy, either by sync with an Amazon account or USB by computer.

Amazon is the best way to go, in my opinion. Sign up for Amazon Unlimited, and you can get free and reduced-price books! It's $10 per month, but so far for me it's worth it!
