He’s an hypocrite, but you know, the things we do for people we love cannot be fathomed. He overlooked his brother’s and friend’s involvement in drugs. At least, he warned them.

Well I'd say no, but considering his tolerance for college smokers, which I don't think could be helped, I'd say he kinda was.

I won't say he is. He didn't want to impose on his friends as he thought it would make them more uncomfortable around him. After all everyone goes lenient with some people they are afraid of losing.

Steve didn't seem like a hypocrite to me. His friend's criminal behaviour had long been ignored by him. However, he took the action that, at the time, he felt was best.

Steve had consistently turned a blind eye to his friend's criminal behavior, which makes me believe that he is a hypocrite. He was afraid that interfering would only make them feel uneasy around him and that he would eventually lose them if he tried to impose on them. however, the reader's viewpoint will determine this.

It's true that Steve turned a blind eye to his friend's illegal activities, but in my opinion, he was acting according to the situation, and he was determined to bring change.

No, with regards to smoking with roxy and no one else, it just shows that he has his comfortable level with people. With roxy being his good friend, he felt free to smoke and relax. It is also his duty to discourage smokin during duty but he also tried his best not to.

I can't say he is a hypocrite. To me he's just being a psycho in some aspects.

If I were faultless, I'd say he was a hypocrite. Because of their flaws, people are what we call "human." Steve acted in a manner that any rational person would. He defended the person he loved most in the world with his uniform.

He wasn't, I'm afraid. Nevertheless, a few of his actions appear to betray him. However, he took the action he felt was best at the time.

What I think is this; he is not a hypocrite because he already warned Roxy and his friends about what would happen to them if they continue, and he also did not want to lose their friendship. It's a two-way thing, I think.

I agree with the fact that he has to show example and abide by the law as an officer. But what he did in regards to Roxy, is something that we, as human beings, will like to do for our loved ones.

I don't think Steve was a hypocrite. He was a human with feelings and some things take priority over others.
I think it'll be safe to say that we all would break a few laws for those we hold dear in our hearts. I bet he got a little tired of playing good guy all the time.

Making changes by working inside the system is never hypocritical. He should be commended instead since he didn't lose sight of his objectives and join the corruption.

I think it's a tricky situation. Steve wants to fit in with his friends and not let go of his past. But he's an officer now and he knows they shouldn't do drugs.
