self-employed retirement is hidden beneath the surface. It is structured in such away that after mastering your craft, the entrepreneur mentors his/her employees to take care of the business exactly the way they would like it operated, by motivating them and letting them feel in charge ,then they can take on another business venture all together.

Of course! Everyone is going to retire eventually. That’s why reconfigurement focuses on creating a solid plan for when the day eventually comes.

I don’t see why entrepreneurs wouldn’t retire. The only exception would be if they choose not to out of love for what they have built. If it is preferable to them to continue to work, then they should continue. Otherwise, they are entitled to retire like any other person. They may need more planning for it though!

I think retirement is just a markup for the employed and you find that after retiring most of people opt to be entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs can retire by choice but maybe at the advanced age.

I guess retirement doesn't necessarily mean quitting work, like shifting or changing the way you used to do stuff. But eventually everyone's going to retire and they're gonna call it something else. So, it's always good to have awareness and be prepared for retirement.

Everyone should be able to retire but most entrepreneurs have so much invested in their businesses that it is hard for them to stop working. Lots of entrepreneurs love the work they do and would much rather "Die with their boots on" :D

I think that whether you are employed by a work force or self employed , you have every right to retire. Everyone need a rest. However, upon retirement I believe that it would be a great idea if you plan your retirement. Everyday workers have to give themselves time to plan their retirement when it is viable to them and I think that self employed have just the same right, they are no different.

I strongly believe that business owners just need to plan a little more than employees of an organization. Additionally, business owners need to conduct additional study to identify a retirement plan that best fits their lifestyles. But overall, it is entirely feasible and ought to be accomplished when one is younger so that there will be more resources available in the long run.

The self-employed should also retire. In the sense that we consider retirement to be a time for resting while still being useful. Self-employed people can also accomplish this. not shutting down or moving away. however, being more passively engaged than before. We all need to sleep.

Of course. Entrepreneurs are humans not robots. They need rest too. An entrepreneur is an employee to him/herself.

However this doesn’t qualify for everyone. What if the entrepreneur is doing a job he/she enjoys so much that he/she can’t do without?
Today's me is better than yesterday's me.

The self-employed will retire in time. Although this may be longer than those who are employed and have a lot of flexibility advantages. Nevertheless, the rules, and financial advice from Reconfiguration still applied to them.

Owuamanam Eberechukwu wrote: 01 Jul 2022, 15:38 The author emphasized on retirement for the employed.

What if you are an entrepreneur.

Should entrepreneurs also retire?
The author cautions against being a "couch potato" in retirement and encourages people to find something to do. In short, just because your employer thinks you are too old to work does not make it so. Which also points to the author being against retirement. So, employed or not, there should be no retirement. Rather, due to their advanced age, these workers should do simple duties to keep themselves busy, feel involved, and earn a living.

I'll say that since business owners are employees, they should be entitled to benefits and incentives. Retirement is not a perk, I am aware of that. Entrepreneurs who wish to retire need to consider more carefully and prepare ahead, in my opinion. And for some, preparations must begin years in advance. I am also aware that some business owners never really retire.

Yes Entrepreneurs are employees too, and they should eventually retire. Therefore, the entrepreneur should prepare ahead for retirement in the same way that the hired do.
