Reasons why I prefer the Kobo over the Kindle:
-it connects directly with my public library's Overdrive ebook system and I can borrow books right from my Kobo, (with the Kindle there's extra steps).
-For some reason all of my Kindle books were starting to show up on my 12 yr old sons Kindle Fire. I spent so much time trying to adjust settings/tech support etc and nothing worked. My son does NOT need to see what his mama is reading, ha!
-NO ADs
-I like Kobos website and that it's only for books. It's clean and easy to use.
-I've been trying to get away from buying from Amazon, for reasons we don't need to get into here, so by not using a Kindle I'm reducing my usage a bit more.
-I like the Kobo's home page layout. Clean and easy to navigate. Also easy to adjust fonts etc.
-You earn points when you purchase books that you can use for free books, and I also signed up for Kobos VIP membership, which gives me extra perks for a minimal annual cost (this is OPTIONAL).
-It's a bit cheaper
I've had my Kobo for a couple of months now and I'm using it exclusively to read all my books. So happy with it!
