Re: Help opening ebook files (epub, mobi, PDF, etc.)

Post by Pipertheminicat »

This is now the third time that I have posted my responses to all of the questions regarding the problems I have had opening the ePub file. I am continuing to receive numerous chasing emails from the review team saying that I have not updated my status despite my having repeatedly followed the status options to this forum and posting the responses three times.

I have no other alternative means of contacting the review team and so will continue to post here in the hopes that my messages will eventually be processed and an alternative book format provided.

ANSWERS
• 1. In what file format is the ebook (e.g. epub, mobi, PDF, etc.)
• ePub
• 2. What device are using to try to open it?
• Mobile phone
• 3. Have you ever successfully opened a file in that format on that device before?
• No
• 4. If your answer to question 3 is "yes", please describe the steps you usually take to successfully open a file in that format on your device. If your answer to question 3 is "no" then please describe what steps you did try to open the file.
• I downloaded the file to my google docs.
• 5. When following the usual process you use to open that kind of file on your device, or the "Top Tips" listed at the beginning of this post, at what step does it uniquely go wrong with this file? In other words, on which step, of the steps you listed as your response to question #4, do you run into trouble with this file but not other files of the same file type?
• I haven’t tried to download an ePub file before
• 6. Do you get an error message? If so, what is the exact wording of the error message?
• “Unsupported file type”
• 7. Did you read and try the "Top Tips" listed at the beginning of this post? If not, please do that before replying. Please name which apps your tried from the suggested apps
• I tried to download nook from the App Store but searching for “nook” and “nook Barnes and noble” but this did not locate the app. I then downloaded the kindle app successfully but could not access the ePub file with this.
