E-reader protective cases

Post by SparklingOne »

I began buying Kindles about 7 yrs ago, I realized immediately I was going to need a cover to protect it. Over time I have tried many types, and spent my share of money in my search for the perfect one. Decided to start this thread to help others choose one more easily. If you have a favorite post it here, and explain why you like it.

My favorite: Fintie folio case (Got the vintage antique bronze finish) makes my paperwhite feel just like a leather bound book without the weight. It has the auto shut off when you close the cover, and seems more secure than those clamshell type covers they sell when you buy the Kindle. It feels soft in my hand like a book instead of a device now.

I dropped my kindle once on the train and immediately got online after that to buy a case for it! (It didn't break!)
Mine is a brand called Marware, and I love it. It's hot pink and has this great flap you can tuck your hand into when it's open, for better hold. I'll never drop it again!

You were very lucky! I would have panicked if that happened to me. My kindle went through a broken hip and broken ankle x2 with me, don't know what I would've done without it. I sometimes think I like my Kindle more than people sometimes.
I've had a Marware cover before they are nice too.

I don't know what kind of cover I have, I got on clearance at Staples. What I do know is that it protects my Kindle. I am leaving major hints with my husband that I want a Kindle Fire for Christmas... I will have to look into a cover for it. Any suggestions?

Lincolnp I was searching for a good kindle cover and this is what I found
go on amazon and then search kindle fire cover with magnetic closure and stand
Then click on the second one down which is:
roocase Kindle Fire HD 7 2014 Case, new Kindle Fire HD 7 Dual View Folio Case with Sleep / Wake Smart Cover with...
I hope that this helps!

I did a lot of shopping around for a case for my beloved Kindle Paperwhite and decided on the OMOTON cover. The reviews claim that it is the lightest cover on the market (or at least at the time of purchase). The reviewers were right – the minimalism of this case effectively maintains the ergonomics of the paperwhite. It’s sleek and lightweight design does not detract from the devices convenient size and comfortable weight, but is sturdy enough to keep your precious kindle safe from normal wear and tear. It has a textured semi-soft plastic outer shell and a soft microfiber interior and is available in several fun colors and neutrals. I have been using mine for about 10 months and it shows no visible wear! I love the bright purple color – it makes it easy to spot in my often messy bedroom or when it is jostling around in my bag. And it is less than $15 on Amazon!!

I have a really nice red padded leather cover with a snap lock. The straps hold my Kindle in place, and it works really well and doesn't take up much more space. I highly recommend it.

Mine was designed by Jnathan Adler. I didn't buy it because it's a designer case but for the options I had to buy from, it seemed the most easy to use to me because of the elastic strap. My husband offered me a case with a magnet but for some reason everytime I opened it the Kindle would turn off, so I had to find another one because the magnets kept the case shut and I had to remove them because I couldn't read with them.

I have a Kindle Paperwhite but I don't have a case for it. I don't bring it anywhere, I just read it at night. If I'm going to read somewhere besides at home, I take a physical copy of the book.

I think you were lucky to not have it broken. It is nice to have something protecting your things in case of an emergency. Thanks for this post, if I ever buy a reader I will surely cover it

I have found that if it is small enough than a book sleeve will work. I put my mom's small e-reader in one, accidentally dropped it, but it was fine.

My Kindle is bare as the day I was born and since I ordered it online, I had to put the screen protector myself. I recently discovered that there's a casing specifically for it so I'm on the hunt for that. Hopefully before any accident causes it irreparable damage.
